15 local councils of Essex County underwent the NCSC-certified training to bolster their overall security posture by raising staff awareness and refreshing their knowledge about potential threats and attacks. Apart from enabling the local councils to improve their incident response strategies and plans, baselining cyber response and achieving tangible reductions in response times, the CIPR course also offered participants numerous takeaways and bonus content. These resources including checklists, templates, cyber response plans and workflows can be put to use in day-to-day operations immediately.
One of the highlights for the course attendees was the format and content of the course which has been made interactive for the specific purpose of engagement. Some participants also found value in the way the course has been paced, peppered with discussions on real-world scenarios and attacks.
The participants of the CIPR training course also appreciated Cyber Management Alliance Co-Founder and CEO and the course trainer, Amar Singh’s delivery of the course as well as the wealth of knowledge and experience he brings to the training which makes it truly relevant.
Ami Goulter - ICT Business Support & Relationship Manager - Rochford District Council said, “It was brilliant... very informative. It highlighted how close we are to potential attacks, and the tools and the methods that we can actually use within an organisation to help protect us against those attacks. The course was paced very well and was very informative and very engaging. I liked the interaction with the different peer groups and overall it was very well delivered. There were some very good, informative take-aways.”
Simon Ford - Incident, Problem and Change Manager - Southend said, “I have just completed the CIPR training course from Cyber Management Alliance with Amar Singh. It was a superb course and was very engaging. Amar knows his subject very well and is very, very good at putting it across. We got loads of information about things that we all felt we knew but maybe we didn't. We got loads of information as handouts which was very good."
Wayne Murray - Technology Services Manager at Colchester Borough Council said, "This course was very helpful. It reminded us about what we need to look out for and make sure that we have maintained our systems. Amar is very knowledgeable and he managed the training in a great way. The method of delivery was interesting and very enjoyable."
